EEI Corporation was recognized at the Children's Hour – Annual Benefit Lunch at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati for conducting the Most Outstanding One Hour Campaign in 2017.

In light of the devastating armed conflict that took place in Marawi in 2017, EEI Corporation dedicated their One Hour Campaign towards providing school kits and funding for long-term and sustainable projects in education for the children displaced in the region. At the end of their successful campaign EEI Corporation, together with its subsidiary companies EEI Construction and Marine, Inc., Gulf Asia International Corporation, Equipment Engineers, Inc., GAIC Manpower Services, Inc., EEI Realty Corporation, and EEI Power Corporation, were able to engage 951 employees, who donated a total of 4,621 hours' worth of salaries which amounted to P710,291.

EEI turned over this donation to Children's Hour Philippines Foundation, Inc. in simple ceremonies held at the EEI Corporation headquarters last November, 2017.
